Public programs are planned for the purpose of disseminating information about the School Technical Assistance Process using the School Improvement Rubric. Go to the Support Center for a schedule of these SIR Orientation Workshops.

Training Resources

A set of training materials has been developed to support the application of the School Improvement Rubric (SIR).

SIR Training Manual: developed as a PowerPoint presentation with Speaker Notes, the SIR Training Manual covers two days of training for Technical Assistance Team (TAT) members. Four modules are covered: SIR Concepts, The Rubric, the SIR Question Bank and Site Visit Preparation.

SIR Team Leader Training Manual: developed as a PowerPoint presentation with Speaker Notes, the SIR Team Leader Training Manual covers the role of the TAT Team leader in regard to orchestrating the SIR Technical Assistance Process, leading the Technical Assistance Team, coordinating site visit logistics with the school and facilitating the school's leadership/planning team through the process.

SIR Orientation Session Participants' Handout: this is the handout for the public program Orientation Sessions, which are an abbreviated, interactive version of TAT training.
